Amaia has been working for 20 years in marketing, data and technology.
She has a degree in Quantitative Methods in Marketing from the Leuven University, and a Business Administration and Economics degree from the University of Deusto.
She started in ‘97 working in Internet and Shipping Software projects for FedEx – conducting quantitative and qualitative research, functional requirements and coordinating technology projects in the marketing department. Later she focused in project management, program management, vendor selection and management, and business planning in IT functions in Solideal and in Toyota. In the last 10 years she worked in Attentio and in Bisnode, companies that were focused on Social Media Data Analytics and CRM services in different domains (Automotive, FMCG, Electronics, Pharma,..).
Amaia’s career combines Digital marketing, Social Media Marketing and Direct Marketing Communication and CRM. She has experience in project, program and people management in both large international, multi-cultural organisations as well as in start-ups. She is passionate about the value of knowing consumers, how consumer data and technology can help design and deliver excellent consumer experiences and generate value for companies.
Amaia is Belgium Vice Chair for I-COM global (I-COM is a Global trade body exploring the creation of business value from Marketing Data & Measurement).
David has over a decade of experience in the automotive industry.
David joins HazelHeartwood from Toyota Motor North America where he held leadership roles in Supply Chain Strategic Planning and Workforce Management. His assignments have consistently been complex, pioneering and global in nature.
David earned a Bachelors Degree in Marketing from the Eli Broad College of Business at Michigan State University (USA) and Study Abroad education from John Cabot University in Rome, Italy.
David specializes in leading cross-functional projects from business case to launch implementation. His experiences range from OEM joint venture launches to warehouse network planning.
David is also an expert in Workforce Management operations for contact centers. His experiences include crisis management, change management, and day-to-day operational optimization.
David holds a master’s degree in Sports Management from the University of Brussels. Fascinated by Italian culture, he gained international working experience by performing a marketing traineeship in Bologna.
After gaining further marketing, operational, account management and project management experience at the sports technological start-up Seaters, David joined the Hazelheartwood team at the end of 2016.
David has a strong interest for digital and technological initiatives and he is gaining further multi-national experience within the fields of digital transformations, project management, data and technology.
David has strong organisational and human skills while he is a quick learner and a firm believer of continuous self-education.
He has gained experience in the sports and automotive sectors, during which he has constantly worked intensively with IT departments.
Over 40 years’ industry experience
Rob held senior marketing and sales positions with Aspro Nicholas, Sterling Products and Beecham before joining Heinz in 1972 as Marketing and Sales Director for the Benelux, later becoming Managing Director for Europe. Rob then joined DHL as Chief Executive Officer for Europe and Africa, in 1997 becoming Chief Executive Officer of DHL Worldwide Express. In 2002, he was appointed Executive Chairman of SN Brussels Airlines, from which position he resigned in 2005. Since then, he has been involved in various start-ups in the logistics sector, as well as provided advisory, consulting and coaching services for Europa Partners, KPMG and, more recently, HazelHeartwood. He was also a founding partner of KR Transatlantic Partners, a logistics investment fund and consultancy firm that focuses on US companies aiming to expand into Europe.
Rob has previously been a member of the Regional Advisory Board of the London Business School and is currently a member of the advisory boards of SBS-EM (Solvay Business School) and of EQUIS (business school accreditation committee of the European Foundation for Management Development).
Rob has extensive general management and senior advisory experience in the logistics sector.
Over 12 years of experience in consulting and hands-on project, programme, and functional management.
Robert studied in St. Andrews University, Lancaster University and University of Antwerp, Belgium. He holds an honours degree in International Business and cum laude master in Applied Economics.
Robert’s career spans top-tier strategy consulting as well project and programme management roles, with functional expertise focused on strategy, IT and supply chain domains. First career moves included an industrial traineeship in marketing at Fujitsu, followed by management traineeship and management roles at Rentokil-Initial. After gaining his master degree, Robert moved to strategy consulting at A.T. Kearney and latterly Bain & Co. He joined HazelHeartwood in 2015.
Robert specialises in solving complex, strategically critical questions, typically with significant IT components. His multi-national, multi-lingual industry and consulting experience spans an exceptionally broad range of industries.
Inspired by technology and human interactions, Rijithe’s studies were focused on combining the both in balance. He graduated from a dual degree master’s program in Internet Computing and Virtualization from Manipal University, India and K.U. Leuven, Belgium. During this study period he completed several internships in the fields on HCI, Telecommunication and Game Designing.
He joined HazelHeartWood in 2017 after working for a commodity promotion industry in a market development role. Understanding and developing ways to connect people and digital solutions have always interested him.
At HazelHeartWood Rijithe is working in digital transformation and is looking for innovative ways to connect people with technology in a sustainable setting.
Rijithe has strong technical skills in software design and development, he believes that change is the only constant and puts trusts in continuous learning.
He has gained experience in working with commodity trading and marketing, telecommunication sector and gaming industry.
In his new role as a digital transformation consultant he looks forward to strengthening his background in the field.
Ramona graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and Communication at The National University of Political Studies and Public Administration in Bucharest, Romania. She continued her studies by getting a Master’s Degree in 2012 in Project Management at the same university.
Ramona worked for a couple of years for the digital advertising division of the McCann Worldgroup in Bucharest. During this time, she was part of a great team, that won 9 Cannes Lions awards in 2011.
In 2012, she moved to Belgium, where she started working for several years in direct marketing at Bisnode Belgium for international clients and learning about how data changes the way a company interacts with its customers.
Equipped with these experiences, Ramona joined HazelHeartwood in 2016 as a digital transformation consultant.
Ramona has 8 years of experience in Marketing and Communication. She has strong project management skills and is highly determined to turn any project into a success. Knowledgeable in creative and digital advertising, as well as direct marketing, Ramona is helping her clients move forward with a successful digital transformation.
After studying Political Science at the University of Louvain, Thibaut took a master’s degree in Human Resources at the Solvay Business School. Passionate about the human resources sector, he decided to join the group USG People first as a consultant and then as agency manager. With his experience, Thibaut was in charge of developing and expanding the business lines of the group by opening 4 new segmentations: thirty specialized agencies in office, major accounts, construct and call center. Given his ability to manage major changes, he held the position of business change manager during which he reorganized the entire network of Start People. Shortly afterwards, he became head of operations for major account agencies with the challenge of digitizing more than 60% of the activities. Thanks to his experience in the digital innovation, he was promoted as Head of Innovation and Process Management for the USG group.
Nowadays, Thibaut specializes in leading cross-functional projects from business case to launch implementation. He is also an expert in workforce management by implementing solutions RPO, MSP, on site solution for large companies without forgetting the dimension employer branding.
Frank has extensive experience in the general management of large international, multi-cultural organisations and complex transformation programs. He specialises in general management, transformation management and IT & Digital strategy implementation.
Frank is also external advisor for a number of non profit organisations and board member of Special Olympics Belgium.
Fascinated by people and their culture, Oriane studied in Belgium, Hungary, USA, and Chile. She graduated in Economics at the Université catholique de Louvain in Belgium, where she also completed a Certificate in Ethics.
For four years, she worked as a Project Manager at Business& Society, the Belgian business network for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). There, she guided more than twenty companies in their CSR strategy through assessment and recommendations to the top management. She also worked with the financial and food industry federations where she led stakeholders’ consultations aiming at identify their key CSR issues and write their first CSR report.
Oriane is also passionate by co-creation and new business models. She animated multi-stakeholders groups helping them to create innovative projects around active ageing, employee engagement and youth employability.
In 2015, Oriane joined the HazelHeartwood team where she will continue engaging stakeholders and drive change within organizations.
Griet graduated in 2003 from film school Rits in Brussels. Hereafter she went for another bachelor’s degree in Tourism & Recreation Management at College of Higher Education in Mechelen.
Griet started her career in 2006 with KPMG Advisory where she was involved in the administrative, financial and organisational processes. In 2010, she moved to Amlin Corporate Insurance where she assisted in similar processes. Two years later, she joined HazelHeartwood. She’s a hands-on project manager passionate about change and digital transformation. Moreover, she loves to organize big international events.
Griet is experienced in the start-up and implementation of web and mobile projects. Briefing, coordination and monitoring of web analysts, copywriters, designers and developers. Monitoring scope, budget & timing.
Furthermore, she is an adept in web content management and content publishing. Creating and optimizing webpages in CMS.
Griet is also confident with digital quality management, development & rollout of mobile apps, executing and analysing web content audits and taxonomy & SEO set-ups.
Tony holds a Master’s degree in Communicatiewetenschappen which he obtained at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), and completed this studies with Bedrijfseconomie at IPO (now Antwerp Management School, AMS) and Arbeidsrecht at the Brussels Chamber of Commerce. He also followed the Middle Management program and the Executive Decision Making program at Vlerick Business School.
Tony worked for the Colruyt Group for 29 years, 19 years of which he was a member of the Executive Board. During his diversified career, he also held both Sales and Production and HR positions. His focus undoubtedly lays in the field of HR and Social Relations, in which he served 6 years as HR Business Partner, 8 years as Corporate HR Director and 4 years as Corporate Social Relations Director.
Tony has profound experience in Social Relations and HR and is a reputed expert in building bridges between parties with conflicting interests, leading to negotiated agreements. His motto: “.. aut viam inveniam aut faciam” (Hannibal), meaning “if there is a road somewhere, I will find it, and if there is none, I will build one ”.
More than 20 years experience in project, program and service management
After graduating in Marketing at KH Leuven in 1990, Els gained substantial experience in project and program management. She was responsible for development and implementation projects for large clients in a software company. Her other responsibilities ranged from marketing, product and office management to the organisation of the service and helpdesk department.
Els has a profound experience in project, program and service management.
34 years’ auditing experience
Pierre studied Law at the Universities of Namur and Antwerp, and then Business Administration and Consular Sciences at the Antwerp Business School. He has been a Partner at KPMG for the last 30 years. During his career, Pierre has conducted audits of public institutions, financial institutions, investment funds and fund managers, hospitals, universities, gas and electricity distribution network operators and international listed companies. Pierre authors articles relating to auditing, and has taught Business Deontology at the Vlekho Business School and the University of Leuven. He joined HazelHeartwood in 2011.
Pierre’s expertise lies in auditing and related financial and business management.
Anouk graduated in Social and Cultural Welfare Studies from the University of Brussels, and went on to do a postgraduate in Business Economics at Vlekho Business School. She is a certified internal auditor and has been trained in project management, change management and operational excellence.
Anouk began her career as a financial auditor with PricewaterhouseCoopers, before becoming a Manager at KPMG Advisory with responsibility for internal audits, process analysis and risk management, as well as being involved with coaching and training. She then spent a couple of years working for the Flemish government on quality control and organisational management projects, before joining HazelHeartwood in 2012.
Anouk is a process, quality and organisational management expert specialising in change management. She is also a certified senior consultant for Flanders Synergy.
9 years’ experience in accounting and controlling
Stijn graduated with a Master’s in Economics from the EHSAL Management School in Brussels in 2003, and worked for a couple of years as an auditor before joining Trifinance, and then Toyota, as Sarbanes-Oxley Project Manager. Stijn next took on the job of Procure to Pay Project Manager at Toyota, which involved improving the procure to pay process and managing the company’s Oracle iProcurement project, later becoming Account Payable Manager and Business Accounting Manager.
Since 2011 Stijn has held various interim management positions, as General and Finance Manager, Manager of the accounts payable crisis team for a company in difficulty, and Manager of an IT capability improvement project. He joined HazelHeartwood in 2011.
Stijn specialises in general and financial interim management.
Over 35 years of experience in Information Technology in various industrial branches
Luc was during 17 years IT Director at Vandemoortele, a family controlled company manufacturing margarines and fats and bread products on a European scale. In this role Luc was responsible for the implementation of SAP, including the integration of acquisitions on this platform, as well as for all IT infrastructure. Luc held this position until January 2014.
Before working for Vandemoortele Luc worked for manufacturing Philips and Santens and consulting companies PA consulting and Origin (currently Athos) were he was responsible for manufacturing automation teams and consulting in the production and logistics area.
Luc was an active member of BIRA and CIO forum where he organised workshops and events in the broad area of Information Technology.
Luc is skilled in coaching people who implement challenging IT implementation projects with related change management.
Guido holds Master’s degrees in Organisational Sociology and Organisational Communication from the University of Amsterdam.
By the time he joined KPMG Advisory in 1993, he had worked for the Dutch Ministry of Finance as an internal consultant, had become Vice President of the Tappan Group after joining them as senior consultant specialising in the communication sector, and had been Managing Director of CMC Communication Management Consultants. He joined KPMG as Senior Manager Change Management, becoming Partner for consulting services in the Antilles and then Lead Partner for Strategy and Operations and for Energy and Industrial Markets in Belgium.
Guido is Vice President of the board of the Dutch Chamber of Commerce in Belgium and the author of a children’s book on doing business. Guido founded HazelHeartwood in 2011.
Guido has wide-ranging consulting experience in the energy, telecom, banking, insurance, transport and logistics sectors, as well as in the public sector. He specialises in transactions, mergers and acquisitions, in change management and communication and in systems and e-business strategy implementation.
30-year career in banking
Filip holds Master’s degrees in Law from the University of Antwerp and Harvard Law School, and began his career as a lawyer with the well-known Brussels law firm De Bandt, van Hecke & Lagae. In 1983, he joined Générale de Banque as International Legal Counsel, rising to become General Manager and in this capacity managing the takeover of Crédit Lyonnais Bank Nederland. In 1997 and 1998 Filip was Chairman of the Board of Managing Directors of Belgolaise Bank. Since 1998 he has been Managing Director at Fortis Bank, responsible for retail banking, investment banking and financial markets. In 2000, he was appointed to the Executive Committee of Fortis and became CEO of Fortis Merchant Banking. In 2008, Filip became Chairman of Fortis Bank, and in 2009, he was appointed Vice-Chairman and COO.
Filip Dierckx is Chairman of the Board of Directors of SD Worx and Chairman of Febelfin (Belgian federation of financial institutions). He is also a member of the Orientation Council of Euronext, Director of Voka (Flemish employers’ network), Director of Union Wallonne des Entreprises (Walloon employers’ association) and a member of the Management Committee of VBO/FEB (Belgian employers’ federation).

Inge holds a degree of translator / interpreter (studies in Ghent and Antwerp) and a master in HR @ Vlerick.
She started off her HR career within Proximus in 1996, where she held several functions in various HR domains, such as Compensation & Benefits, Account Managemement and HR Business Partnership. Until recently, Inge held the position of HR Manager – Strategic HR Solutions in Proximus, in which she defined and implemented initiatives in the domain of talent management, internal mobility, diversity and employee engagement. Currently, Inge is working as Managing Director of Experience@Work, a platform created by HazelHeartwood, AXA, KBC and Proximus to share talents across the borders of organisations, in the context of “working longer”.
Over 40 years’ legal experience
Roel has a PhD in Law from the University of Leuven and a Master of Laws degree from the University of Pennsylvania (USA).
Roel started off as a teaching assistant at the University of Leuven before pursuing a career as a lawyer with several law firms. Roel is now a partner at Ambos NBGO, where he assists foreign and domestic companies set up and implement corporate governance structures, set up acquisition structures and involve private equity funds and investors. He also acts as advisor to listed companies.
Roel is a part-time lecturer within the University of Antwerp’s Master after Master program in Business Law. He joined HazelHeartwood in 2011.
Roel is an expert on company law, experienced in the areas of corporate governance, private auctions, mergers & acquisitions, buy-outs, restructuring (Belgian and European) and listed companies.
Over 35 years management and risk consulting experience
Guido has a Master of Law degree (VUB) and a Master of Internal Audit degree (UFSIA) and obtained Certifications in Risk Management Assurance, Prince 2, accounting, IT and administrative law.
He held several senior management positions e.g. at the Port of Antwerp Authority; the Campina Chamber of Commerce and Unizo before becoming a senior manager at KPMG Advisory.
Guido is an expert in corporate governance as well as process, risk and control analysis and improvements. He also performed a vast number of Internal audits (strategic, financial, operational, IT) and internal control assessments both in the private and public sector.
Guido has been member and trusted advisor of Board of Directors and Audit Committees and is Counselor at the High Labor Court Antwerp (ongoing). He has also a vast expertise in facilitating workshops and seminars and is author of several publications.
Guido joined HazelHeartwood in 2013.
Guido has extensive project management and senior advisory experience both in the private and he public sector. He has a wide-ranging consulting experience in the public, energy, transport, distribution, logistics, telecom, automotive, banking, industrial and IT sector.
15 years of experience in organisational change and project management
Alexandra holds a Master’s degree in Bioscience Engineering from the University of Ghent. She started her career in the environmental and engineering sector. Her interest for management and organisational change was the reason she chose for KPMG in 2000. After six years of experience in organisational change at KPMG, she decided to join the Province of Antwerp as an internal management consultant and project manager. In 2009 she became director of a public company specialised in learning and development, attached to the Province. She joined HazelHeartwood in 2015.
Alexandra has built experience in organisational development and change, both in a role of management consultant as in a role of (project) manager. She specialises in change management and social innovation, both in public as in private sector.
More than 30 years experience in banking and finance
Baudouin has a Master’s degree in Applied Economics and for over 30 years he was active in the banking and financial sector. He is also a certified corporate director.
He started his career with the Indosuez Bank België where for more than 15 years he held various commercial and management positions in corporate and private banking.
He then joined Euronext and was actively involved in the merger process with the French, Dutch and Portuguese stock exchanges and was in charge of marketing, relations with issuers and institutional investors at group level.
Today he is active in the social profit sector where he advices different organizations in the field of poverty, employment and social empowerment.
In his own time, he is member of the Board of the philanthropic Gillès Foundation, Toolbox, and chairman of Foundation Baroness van Oldeneel tot Oldenzeel.
Throughout his career he acquired managerial skills in planning and organisation, budgeting and financial control, as well as a profound experience in credit and loan applications, investment strategies, risk assessment, marketing, business development and people management.
Leslie holds a master’s degree in Applied Economics from Catholic University Leuven – HUB Brussels. He has a “Master in Corporate Finance” from Vlerick Business School and he followed two Executive master classes: “Financial Performance Management” at Antwerp Management School and “Corporate Performance Management” at Ehsal Management School.
He spent 12 years working as auditor and financial consultant at EY. He gained experience in many different Finance domains and Industry sectors. After EY he served almost two years as deputy CFO for a large manufacturing company where he changed the role of Finance from Accounting to Business. In 2012 he joined the social impact investment company Incofin IM where he operated as Chief Finance and Operating Officer. He was key in the growth strategy of the company. After 6 years at Incofin IM, Leslie joined Hazelheartwood.
Leslie has a strong knowledge and interest in Strategy execution, Corporate finance, Business intelligence, IT solutions and Change management.
Leslie is an inspiring leader with an authentic people focus. He thrives to get the best out of himself and the client to go one step beyond for business results. As an executive, he demonstrates intelligence in both IQ and EQ; he creates a team play, yet loyal to his personal values.

Lily is an agricultural engineer and chemist (Ph.D). She has more than 20 years’ experience both in profit (Procter & Gamble, Somers Zaden) and non-profit (Vredeseilanden, Fairtrade Belgium, Kauri) organizations. She held various management positions in a multinational, SME, academic and NGO work context (EU, US, Japan) where she led several small-scale but also major change processes (including mergers). Lily is co-manager of Ilfaro (solution-oriented coaching of people and teams), director of Wereldmediahuis (MO *) and of The Shift. For HazelHeartwood she is involved in the (re) development of the Old Abbey Kortenberg into a sustainable place for and with vulnerable people.

Paul holds a degree in Informatics. After his studies, he started to work in 1980 at TOPvoeding as IT-manager. He was also responsible for the invoicing.
After 5 years, he moved to Kerkstoel Bouwmaterialen where he was involved in the computerisation of all types of administrative processes. He purchased and managed the online tools and partly worked on accounting related activities.
In 1993, Paul changed to Kredietbank/KBC where he fulfilled different roles and responsibilities. He started as a job/application planner on IBM-mainframe. Few years later, he managed the migration with Cera. After the migration, he became an application engineer successively within the Reporting team and the Datawarehouse team. He ended as a system engineer managing the ATM’s from KBC and CBC.
Paul joined HazelHeartwood in 2017 through Experience@Work.
Paul is an expert in organizing and coordinating administration duties and office procedures. He creates and maintains a pleasant work environment, ensuring high levels of organizational effectiveness, communication and safety. He also has experience with a variety of office software (email tools, spreadsheets and databases) and financing, in the broader sense.
